The beautiful new American Townhouse restaurant, bar and special event space at 1012 North Rampart Street in New Orleans will open this summer and exhibit new paintings by David McPherson.

The 2 ½-story Greek Revival townhouse, built in 1856, has been meticulously renovated inside and out and features a spacious bar, dining area and lush outdoor patio as well as a large second-floor balcony and event space. When you walk in, it just feels grand, the perfect combination of historic architectural elements with modern interior design and finishes.

Look for McPherson’s work in the main room, framed by the two tall windows overlooking Rampart Street. First on exhibit is the namesake painting American Townhouse, created for the opening and part of a series of paintings focused on the historic building styles of New Orleans. In addition to the original 32” x 40” oil on canvas, McPherson Gallery is offering a 16” x 20” limited edition print of the American Townhouse which you can purchase online or in person at the gallery at 1029 Royal Street in the French Quarter.
