On December 17, 2014, President Barack Obama and President Raúl Castro surprised the world with a historic announcement signaling the end of over 5 decades of frozen relations between the U.S. and Cuba. Cuba is on the verge of great change and more Americans than ever before will have the opportunity to witness it. The images in this exhibit were taken the week of the announcement.
The original exhibit of these photographs by David McPherson took place on August 8, 2015 as part of the Dirty Linen Night gallery openings on Royal Street in New Orleans. The photos will be on display at Eat New Orleans, 900 Dumaine St, New Orleans, LA 70116 from September 1st to November 30th.
